We rely on campus community members (e.g. academic advisors, coaches, residence life staff) to refer students who may be facing difficulties, either academically or personally.&nbsp;</p> </div> <div class="field field--name-field-paragraphs field--type-entity-reference-revisions field--label-hidden field--items"> <div class="field--item"> <div class="paragraph paragraph--type--extra-body paragraph--view-mode--default"> <div id class="container extra-body-field"> <h2>How do Care&nbsp;Referrals work?</h2> <p class="text-align-center" style="font-family: Open Sans Condensed; sans-serif; font-weight: 900; text-transform: uppercase; font-size: 400%; line-height: 120%;">Concern <span class="fontawesome-icon-inline"><i class="fas fa-chevron-right" style="color:#edb311"></i>&nbsp;</span>Care <span class="fontawesome-icon-inline"><i class="fas fa-chevron-right" style="color:#edb311"></i> Connect</span></p> <ol> <li><strong>Concern: </strong>A faculty or staff member&nbsp;notices a student who is having difficulties or is in distress.<br> &nbsp;</li> <li><strong>Care:&nbsp;</strong>Faculty and staff can make a referral via the online portal by following the link below - you will be prompted to login with your NetID.&nbsp;Other members of the Queen's community can get in contact by emailing&nbsp;<a href="mailto:caresupportservices@queensu.ca">caresupportservices@queensu.ca</a> <p class="text-align-center"><a class="button -yellow -big" href="/carereferral/form/">Make a referral</a></p> Care Referrals&nbsp;are reviewed by an Intake Coordinator who will then help to identify an appropriate campus resource to connect with the student.
