Poonyawee Jirarattanawan is a PhD student from Thailand with a strong interest in medical education, particularly in the areas of student soft skill development and well-being. Her doctoral research examines the impact of resilience practices on overall well-being, as well as the relationship between resilience and spiritual well-being among Thai medical educators. Before beginning her PhD studies at ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´, she taught anatomy for over 7 years, delivering both lectures and laboratory sessions. In her teaching, she actively incorporated active learning strategies and self-reflection to enhance student engagement and promote learner ownership. Beyond her teaching role, she has been deeply involved in student counseling, mental health support, and organizing activities and workshops focused on soft skill development. She aims to contribute to a resilience-driven approach to medical education in Thailand, with an emphasis on the well-being of all stakeholders.
Individual Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain the EGSS bank account.
- Keep receipts and records of spending in the EGSS Banking folder organized by year
- Share the details of the treasury funds revenue in- and outgoing in every meeting (if applicable).
- In collaboration with the Co-Presidents, secure funding for EGSS sponsored events.
- Maintain a log of spending from year-to-year to demonstrate the allocation of funds relative to past years. This is essential to receive funding from the SGPS and to help new representatives understand budgeting.
- Prepare end of term reports (Fall, Winter, Spring) to share with the EGSS membership.
- Write funding proposals to appropriate funding bodies when possible and as needed.
- Provide up-to-date financial feedback to regulate spending.
- Maintain monthly ‘Validation of Spending’ documents that list out all monthly expenditures and sign off on it with one of the Co-Presidents (at least 2 signatures are needed)
- Provide membership with the opportunity to vote for SGPS fee slate.
- At the end of term, work with the Co-Presidents to sign a letter addressed to the EGSS banking institution, allowing the incoming Co-Presidents and Treasurer to take over the EGSS banking account.
- Apply for SGPS funding when needed (e.g., Nutrition fund, Activity fund)
