In this multi-voice panel on the National Day of WIL, panelists from across the WIL ecosystem reflect on what belonging and equity mean to them. This conversation offers a space to deepen our understanding of the lived realities of equity-deserving students – hearing directly from student voices, as well as the community partners and WIL professionals who support them. Panelists will share stories of queer and trans advocacy, anti-Islamophobia, and decolonizing practices in response to the barriers students regularly encounter in job search and placement environments.
​By naming these challenges and exploring possible pathways forward, the conversation invites us to consider how we can better support students’ agency while practising collective responsibility.
