In honour of ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´ 175th anniversary, the university and the Hong Kong Branch of the ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´ Alumni Association are hosting a unique evening of extraordinary ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´ connections in Hong Kong.
This celebration, hosted in Hong Kong, will be a hallmark event for a remarkable year of 175th anniversary events. It will celebrate ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´ strong ties with the Asia-Pacific region, the students who come to ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´ from the region, and the alumni who live and work there.
In the afternoon, alumni, students, family and friends are invited to participate in a celebration modelled after a convocation ceremony. Alumni will be honoured participants, and there will be a presentation of an honorary degree to long-time ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´ volunteer and retired High Court Judge Kin Kee Pang, Arts’70. This will be the first honorary degree to be conferred by ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´ outside of Canada.
In the evening, Queen's Professor Emeritus and Nobel Laureate Dr. Art McDonald will be the keynote speaker at a gala dinner.
