Charlotte received her BA (Honours) in English Literature from Yale-NUS College in Singapore in 2024. Her capstone thesis examined the creation of a new gendered subjectivity in the yuri subgenre of animanga, and she continues to be interested in the process of how gender is created and recreated in society. Her future research will focus on the development of the transgender cyborg, how our bodies are materially affected by access to healthcare, and the appeal of the figure of the mecha, or more broadly the machine, to society today — towards the future of gender and sexed bodies as a whole.
