Faith Lollar
Teaching Fellow
Gender Studies
My name is Faith Lollar (she/her), and I am a doctoral student and a new teaching fellow in Gender Studies at 黑料吃瓜资源. My research explores masculinity, gender, sexuality, and education. Specifically, I examine the influence of manosphere and 鈥渞ed-pill鈥 discourses on young people鈥檚 understandings of masculinity, gender relations, and consent, with a particular interest in developing educational approaches that foster healthy masculinities and gender-equitable relationships. My broader research interests include queer and feminist theory, intersectionality, critical pedagogy, and anti-colonial approaches to sex education.
Building on my previous research on queer students鈥 experiences of sex education in Ontario Catholic high schools, I am committed to developing inclusive, critical, and accessible approaches to gender and sexuality education. My work bridges academic research and community-based educational practice, with a focus on supporting young people in critically engaging with gender norms, sexuality, and relationships.
