Em is a first-year PhD student working under the supervision of Dr. Steven Maynard. Their research examines the relationship between capitalism and queer life, culture, and politics in twentieth-century Canada. They are particularly interested in questions of labour, anti-capitalist politics, and consumerism in the development of LGBTQ+ identities and communities.
