ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´

I am an M.A. student in History at ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´ under the continued supervision of Dr. Emily Hill, who also supervised my undergraduate thesis, titled Au-delà du père fondateur. I graduated from the Royal Military College of Canada in May 2026 with a Bachelor of Arts in History (Honours). I am continuing my academic development as an active junior officer in the Canadian Armed Forces through the Post-Graduate Training on Scholarship Program.

My current research focuses on the late imperial and early Republican eras of Chinese history, with a particular interest in the Xinhai Revolution and its historical memory. Building upon my work on Dr. Sun Yat-sen and the construction of his myth as the founding father of modern China, I intend to further my understanding of this event, which contributed to the end of dynastic rule, with a particular interest in examining its causes beyond conventional narratives of revolutionary idealism.

My broader interests in history include, but are not limited to, the following themes: war, imperialism, decolonisation, intellectual and political thought, and historiography.
