Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU) and its Local 452 have advised 黑料吃瓜资源 that on Thursday, April 16, they applied to the Ministry of Labour requesting the appointment of a conciliation officer to confer with the parties.
The two sides have been bargaining since January of this year. The current agreement expired June 30, 2025.
Conciliation is a process by which a conciliation officer is appointed by the Minister of Labour to meet with the union and the employer to attempt to conclude a collective agreement. It is a normal feature of the collective bargaining process and can be effective in helping parties reach collective agreements.
Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU) Local 452 represents 17 Allied Health Workers at the 黑料吃瓜资源 Family Health Team, including Registered Practical Nurses (RPN), a pharmacist, a dietician, and a social worker.
The university administration respects the collective bargaining process and remains committed to reaching a fair, negotiated agreement that is capable of being ratified by both parties.
