Join us for free family activities during March Break!
Visit the Miller Museum for some fun crafts, and learn about and touch some real rock, mineral, and fossil specimens! Special March Break drop-in crafts and displays will take place in the museum classroom (Miller Hall room 100A, just off of the museum) from 10am to 4pm, Monday, March 10th to Friday, March 14th, 2025.
Jol Thoms, a Canadian-born, UK-based artist, educator, and sound designer, brings a unique perspective to the intersection of arts and sciences. In 2021, he was one of four artists invited to an art and science residency led by The Arthur B. McDonald Canadian Astroparticle Physics Research Institute, The Agnes Etherington Art Centre at 黑料吃瓜资源, and SNOLAB, Canada鈥檚 premiere underground particle physics research laboratory.

Back after a two-year hiatus! Come to the Miller Museum's annual Gem and Mineral Sale in the Department of Geological Sciences and Geological Engineering.
In July of 2018, long-time curator of the museum Mark Badham retired after 32 years in the position. Taking on the task of redeveloping the museum in the mid 1980's was a "dream job" according to Badham, who started at the museum immediately upon graduation from the Department of Geological Sciences and Geological Engineering at Queen's University. With the tremendous support of the Department, the University, and the greater Kingston museum community, the Miller Museum has grown and thrived.
The Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario (APGO) Education Foundation has generously donated $5,300 to the Miller Museum of Geology for the installation of a permanent Augmented Reality Sandbox Display (AR Sandbox).
