Join a historical legacy as QUAQE marches in Kingston Pride again this year! Did you know the QUAQE banner that we march with won "Best Banner" in Kingston Pride 2007? Join the long line of people who have held and carried this banner in pride parades in Kingston over the years!
The Parade will take place on Saturday June 13th from 12(noon) - 1pm. Marshalling for the parade will take place at the Memorial Centre (303 York St). The parade will leave from the Memorial Centre at 12:00pm (noon), travel down Alfred, then down Princess Street to Confederation Basin. Please arrive at the Memorial Centre at 11am and meet near the splash pad/park.
WE NEED YOU! We are looking to recruit some folks to marshal for QUAQE. What does this entail? Showing up at the Memorial Centre at at 10:30am, checking in with a volunteer from Kingston Pride to let them know QUAQE has arrived and find out where we are located for marshalling, lay out and stand by the QUAQE banner so those marching with us can find you, be a friendly and welcoming face! If you are interested please email quaqe@queensu.ca and copy Indigo (sib@queensu.ca) to express your interest! If you don't already have one, we have free QUAQE shirts for marshals (and should have enough for those marching)!
If you're planning on marching and would like a shirt, please message Mark Richardson (mark.richardson@queensu.ca) on MS Teams to set up a time to grab a shirt before the parade!
