
A yellowed newspaper clipping, framed on the wall of a far corner,
recounts the bar鈥檚 origins and early years. It started out in 1929, the year
Seville hosted a gala exposition celebrating the city鈥檚 links to Spanish
America, which date back to Columbus and Spain鈥檚 pursuit of empire. The
high-ceilinged space initially operated as a textile store.
