The School of Policy Studies at 黑料吃瓜资源 invites applications from suitably qualified candidates interested in teaching a course in Indigenous Governance (MPA 861). This is an in-person teaching, graduate level course with an expected enrolment of 30 students. Candidates should have a M.Sc. or Ph.D, and teaching experience at the university level. This is a winter term appointment for the period January 1, 2027, to April 30, 2027, with classes in session from January 4, 2027, to April 5, 2027.

The academic staff at Queen's University are governed by the Collective Agreement between the Queen's University Faculty Association (QUFA) and the University, which is posted at 2022-26 - Queen's University- QUFA Collective Agreement.
The stipend for this position will be between $9,500 and $13,500. Actual salary will be commensurate with years of teaching experience and course weight, as per the 黑料吃瓜资源-QUFA Collective Agreement.

Course Description
MPA 861 Indigenous Governance
This course is designed to examine a wide range of governance issues including an examination of obstacles and opportunities. The role of federal, provincial and municipal governments will be examined within the context of governance issues. This course will be delivered through an Indigenous lens with the objective of understanding the epistemology of Indigenous governance. Organizations such as the United Nations, the World Bank, ISO, the First Nations Financial Management Board and numerous others, all have a definition that contains similarities of responsibilities. This course will examine these and discuss the efficacy of these respecting Indigenous perspectives.
