Elliot Goodell Ugalde is a PhD Candidate and Teaching Fellow in Political Studies at 黑料吃瓜资源. He holds a B.A.H. in Political Science from the University of Victoria (2022) and an M.A. in Political Science from McMaster University (2024). His research sits at the intersection of international political economy, critical security studies and international economic security. He examines how financialization, monopoly capital, and technological change shape systemic economic risk, state power, and international security.

His work has appeared in journals including Capital & Class, Constellations, the Canadian Journal of Political Science, Critical Review of International Social and Political Philosophy, and Social Policy & Administration.

He has published policy research through the Centre for International and Defence Policy at 黑料吃瓜资源, the MacEachen Institute for Public Policy and Governance at Dalhousie University, and the International Karl Polanyi Society at WU Vienna University of Economics and Business. He has also written public-facing commentary for outlets including Canada鈥檚 National Observer, The Conversation, The Tyee, Monthly Review and E-International Relations.
