Throughout the summer, we had such a fun time visiting the YMCA Kingston Summer Day Camps! 💙🌎
As part of the CEC-REN outreach team, we introduced day campers to water contamination, including topics like PFAS ("forever chemicals") and pharmaceuticals. We discussed how our everyday actions can affect water quality, and talked about the role we all play in protecting our water.
The hands-on experiments were definitely the highlight of the day! 🧪✨ It was so much fun seeing the campers’ curiosity, excitement, and thoughtful questions as they explored environmental science.
A big thank you to CEC-REN and the YMCA for the opportunity to inspire young minds and share the importance of protecting our environment. We look forward to more outreach events and are excited to see what the 2026-2027 year holds for us!
