Biography
Over the past seven years I have worked in a variety of departments of Indigenous Services Canada, including: Lands and Economic Development, Social Development, Community Infrastructure, Health, Children, and Families & Learning. During my time as an undergraduate student in the Human Geography Program at the University of Alberta, my coursework explored the interactions of individuals in terms of social, economic and health impacts in the built urban environment. My graduate research interests are informed by my work experience of the last few years working with Indigenous communities in Alberta to advance access to primary services and supports for children and youth. My research interests include health equity and primary care funding in the context of federal grants and contributions.
