Research Interests
His research interests include migration, identity, belonging, masculinities, diaspora communities from Afghanistan, refugee integration, climate-related mobility, environmental governance, conflict-related harm, and development in fragile and conflict-affected contexts. His doctoral research examines how migration and resettlement shape gender identities, family relationships, belonging, and social integration among diaspora communities from Afghanistan in Canada.
Biography
Mohd Khalid Naseemi is a PhD student in Global Development Studies at 黑料吃瓜资源. He holds an MA in International Affairs, specializing in International Development Policy, from Carleton University and has extensive professional experience in environmental governance, international development, public policy, refugee settlement, research, and community leadership.
At Carleton University, he worked as a Research Assistant with Professor Christiane Wilke on research concerning civilian casualties, armed conflict, and conflict-related harm in Afghanistan. His research assistance contributed to work published in Humanity and The Conversation.
Before beginning his doctoral studies, he held senior environmental and policy positions in Afghanistan and later supported refugees and newcomers in Canada as a Settlement and Integration Counsellor and Team Lead. He is also the founder and CEO of the Global Centre for Climate, Environment and Development.
