Queen's remembers Philip Osanic

The assistant professor and ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´ Law alumnus had been teaching at the university for 22 years.

The ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´ community is remembering Philip Osanic (Law’91, LLM’02), who passed away on Oct. 16 at the age of 65. After graduating from ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´ with a JD from ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´ Faculty of Law in 1991, he worked in Toronto for several years before returning to Kingston to establish his own practice in 1994. He then began teaching courses at ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´ Law and Smith School of Business shortly after earning a Master of Laws from the university in 2002. Professor Osanic was committed to supporting students both in and out of the classroom, serving as a faculty advisor, coach, case author, and judge for several conferences and case competitions.

The flags will be lowered to half-mast on campus in his honour Friday, Oct. 24 through Sunday, Oct. 26.
