Queen's remembers Professor Emeritus Ronald R. Price

Professor Ronald R. Price was a trailblazer in Canadian correctional law and a beloved member of the ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´ Faculty of Law. In 1973, he founded the ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´ Correctional Law Project, a ground-breaking initiative that provided legal assistance to inmates in Kingston-area penitentiaries. Under his supervision, law students gained hands-on experience advocating for incarcerated individuals. His legacy continues today through the ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´ Prison Law Clinic. After Professor Price’s retirement in 1996, he developed the ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´ Law Students’ Mediation Service in 1997, and co-founded the Mediation Centre of Southeastern Ontario in 2001.
. A public visitation will take place at the James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd, Kingston, Ontario on Friday August 15, 2025, starting at 1:00pm until 2:50pm. The family welcomes guests to offer condolences during this time.
