ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´ has improved its position in the QS World University Rankings, rising 12 places to 179th globally among 1,504 ranked institutions. The result marks the university’s fourth consecutive year of improvement in the rankings and its strongest QS performance in more than a decade. Within Canada, ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´ remains ninth among the 30 institutions evaluated by QS.

The QS World University Rankings assess universities across several areas of performance, including research impact, partnerships, student learning experience and outcomes, sustainability, and academic and employer reputation.

ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´ made some of its largest gains this year in measures tied to research and global collaboration. The university rose 80 places in Citations per Faculty, an indicator that measures the impact of research output. It also improved 70 places in International Research Network, which measures the breadth and diversity of an institution’s international research partnerships, and 34 places in Sustainability, which measures the social and environmental impact of universities.

The university also continues to perform well in measures tied to graduate outcomes and employer recognition. Within Canada, ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´ ranks fourth for Employment Outcomes and fifth for Employer Reputation.

Queen's continues to pursue improvements in indicators related to international faculty, international students, and full-time faculty-to-student ratios. Efforts in these areas support the university's goals of expanding its global reach, attracting top talent, and enhancing the student learning experience.
