The Department of Political Studies is pleased to share that Assistant Professor Dr. Quinn Albaugh and Assistant Professor Dr. Elizabeth Baisley, were recently awarded an Insight Development Grant for their projects.

Insight Development Grants support research in its preliminary stages, allowing researchers to develop new research questions and explore new methods, theoretical approaches, or ideas. These grants are awarded over two years.

A distinguished scholar in the fields of comparative politics and international relations, Professor Haklai's research focuses on nationalism, ethnic conflict, state-minority relations, democratization, and Middle East politics. Since joining the ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´ faculty in 2004, he has built an exemplary record of teaching, research, mentorship, and academic leadership. 

PhD student Anita Ragunathan recently delivered a community presentation entitled "A Report Back from the 32nd Annual Ernesto 'Che' Guevara Volunteer Work Brigade" at Kingston Community House. Organized by the Kingston Peace Council, the event brought together members of the community and former participants in the Kingston chapter of the Canadian Network on Cuba.
