The ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´ community has spoken clearly about its desire to build an inclusive and welcoming campus community. Two new reports are now available that highlight the progress made during the 2020-21 year toward the goals on equity, diversity, inclusion, and Indigenization at ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´.

Queen's broadens efforts to promote health and safety

With a recent spike of COVID-19 cases in the Kingston region, ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´ and its community partners have intensified efforts to make sure students are following KFL&A guidelines. Since the start of the pandemic, the university has worked in partnership with KFL&A Public Health, Kingston Police, the City, and Kingston Health Sciences Centre to promote awareness of public health regulations and respond to actions that put the health of the Kingston community at risk.

Principal Deane says no excuses for sexist behaviour, sexual violence, or harassment

Action against individuals who displayed misogynistic signs at unsanctioned student parties being pursued under Student Code of Conduct.

While this weekend’s street parties and other forms of disruptive conduct might be explained sympathetically by some as an expression of the pent-up energy of young people emerging from COVID-19 isolation, no such excuse can be made for acts of sexual harassment or violence, or sexist behaviour of any kind.
