Ambassador of Portugal to sign an agreement with ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´ to support Portuguese language and culture course
The Portuguese community in Kingston has been supporting, for the past two years, an introductory course in Portuguese language and culture at ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´. They have been raising funds by organizing dinners, golf tournaments and other activities. As of this year (2015-2016) the Instituto Camões (a Portuguese governmental agency which supports the diffusion of Portuguese language and culture throughout the world) will be contributing € 6,400.00 (six thousand for hundred Euros) to support the course. This commitment is for the next two years with the possibility of renewal.
The Ambassador of Portugal will be in Kingston, at ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´, on November 12th for the signing of the agreement between the Instituto Camões and the Department of Languages, Literatures at Cultures, the Faculty of Arts and Science and ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´.
The signing will be held at Richardson Hall room 340 at 4:30 p.m on November 12th.
