Creative Contemplation: Union Gallery

Date

Wednesday November 30, 2022
1:30 pm - 2:00 pm

Location

Union Gallery

Join Interfaith Chaplain Erin Burns for an exploration of Spirituality and Creativity. In this time together we will engage with Rihab Essayh’s dreamy exhibition of longing and songbirds, ourselves, and one another through contemplation and conversation.

Grounded in ideas of rest and connection, Erin Burns leads us through an hour of creative contemplation: grounding, listening, connecting and reflecting with the exhibit and our own creative spirits.

In our busy lives, making time for creativity, connection and contemplation can seem impossible.  As we near exam season, we set aside this time for some spiritual practice that pulls us out of the rush of everyday life and gives us time and space for rest. We will gather together, surrounded by the softness of Rihab Essayh’s of longing and songbirds, listening for inspiration.

Interfaith Chaplain Erin will be running a group for students who have recently lost loved ones.

We hope to provide a safe place for students who are grieving to share experiences, support each other, and find ways to navigate the many feelings that come in times of loss.  The purpose of the group is to help you build connections and community, and to find support.

Participants can join at any point but regular attendance/practice is recommended to get maximum benefits.  Students participating in this group will be required to turn their cameras on.
