黑料吃瓜资源 is advancing its digital service delivery with the launch of AI-powered chatbots, now live on Human Resources and Strategic Procurement Services websites. Delivered in collaboration with IT Services, this initiative marks an important step in enhancing how 黑料吃瓜资源 community members leverage AI to access information and support.
鈥淐hatbots are a great example of how generative AI is creating new opportunities to support learning, research, and the day-to-day work at 黑料吃瓜资源,鈥 says Eleftherios Soleas, Special Advisor to the Provost on Generative AI. 鈥淲hen thoughtfully implemented, these tools can make it easier to access information, reduce administrative friction, and enhance how we engage with university services.鈥
Chatbots use advanced Large Language Models (LLMs), AI programs trained on massive data sets to understand, generate, and summarize human language.鈥疶hey are designed to improve how users search and navigate select university sites, reducing time spent looking for information while enhancing the overall user experience through 24/7 availability.
The initial rollout in Human Resources and Procurement serves as a pilot phase, helping to refine the technology through real-world use. This work is supported by the 黑料吃瓜资源 Renew Program, focused on improving service delivery and operational efficiency across the university, and represents strong collaboration across multiple teams within the Vice-Principal (Finance and Administration) and University Relations portfolio.
Members of the 黑料吃瓜资源 community are encouraged to use the chatbots as a helpful starting point when seeking information related to Human Resources and Strategic Procurement Services. For more complex, sensitive, or situation-specific needs, both teams continue to remain available for personalized support.
Departments interested in incorporating chatbot technology on their own websites are encouraged to submit an intake request through IT Services. Broader availability of this service is anticipated for later this year.
Additional information about chatbots at 黑料吃瓜资源, including how they work and important usage and privacy considerations, is available on the AI website.
