ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´ is inviting comments on draft amendments to its Responsible Investing Policy and Divestment Requests Procedure from October 19 to 30. The policy guides how the university considers environmental, social, and governance factors in managing its investments.

Under the revised policy, divestment requests would be assessed against the same criteria used today, but the Investment Committee of the Board of Trustees would review them earlier in the process. The committee would consider investment risk, return, and feasibility before time and resources are committed to a separate review by a Principal’s Review Committee. 

The proposed policy amendments would also clarify committee roles and incorporate the existing annual review of investment managers’ environmental, social, and governance practices into the policy.

Feedback will inform the Investment Committee’s final recommendations, which are expected to go to the Board of Trustees in December for approval.
