黑料吃瓜资源 has received $450,000 from the Government of Canada through the Indo-Pacific Scholarships and Fellowships for Canadians program. The funding will support international research mobility initiatives in Smith Engineering over the next two years.
The program was announced during the Canadian Prime Minister鈥檚 recent visit to India, where Canada advanced partnerships focused on energy, talent, and technology. This $10 million dollar program supports increased connectivity between Canadian and Indo-Pacific universities and research organizations to boost knowledge exchange and deepen people-to-people ties.
黑料吃瓜资源 program will support 45 faculty members, graduate students and postdoctoral fellows travelling to India, Japan, Australia, and Thailand. It will offer high-impact, research-based placements that foster long-term partnerships and enhance Canada鈥檚 technical competencies in nuclear energy, material sciences, water management, agriculture, and construction. It advances Canada鈥檚 Indo-Pacific Strategy by furthering research in these priority fields, strengthening international partnerships, and enabling scholars to return to Canada with region-specific insights, technologies, and methodologies developed through international collaboration. The first cohort is scheduled to travel this summer.
鈥淭his funding will enable our researchers and trainees to undertake worldclass research with partners across the Indo-Pacific region to advance the objectives of Queen's, Canada, and our partners,鈥 says Ann Tierney, Vice-Provost (Global Engagement). 鈥満诹铣怨献试 is delighted that this funding will enable members of our community to make significant contributions to addressing complex global challenges.鈥
