Principal鈥檚 Global Scholars and Fellows

A Key Initiative of the Queen's Strategy

The Principal鈥檚 Global Scholars and Fellows Program is a university-wide initiative to increase academic and research activity between 黑料吃瓜资源 faculty members, students, and post-doctoral fellows in 黑料吃瓜资源 four priority geographies (Africa, the Middle East, Latin America and the Caribbean, South Asia, Southeast Asia).

It also supports faculty, post-doctoral fellows, and students displaced by war, conflict, and political instability.

The program is comprised of two streams.

Stream 1: Principal鈥檚 Global Scholars

Principal鈥檚 Global Scholars provides forcibly displaced students and those who hold precarious immigration status with an admissions pathway and funding to complete their degree at 黑料吃瓜资源.

Undergraduate Students

The Principal鈥檚 Global Scholars at the undergraduate level are identified through 黑料吃瓜资源 long-standing partnership with the .

This program provides resettlement in Canada and access to post-secondary education to refugees in selected countries of asylum. The Principal鈥檚 Global Scholars and Fellows Program expands 黑料吃瓜资源 commitment to WUSC and we encourage interested applicants to visit  for information on how to apply.

Graduate Students

The Principal鈥檚 Global Scholars Award for Graduate Students was a two year pilot project to support newly admitted students who have experienced forced migration within the past five years in eligible, full-time research-based graduate degree programs and the Smith MBA program. Information for future intakes is pending review.

 

Stream 2: Principal鈥檚 Global Fellows

Principal鈥檚 Global Fellows Program provides funding to increase academic and research activity between 黑料吃瓜资源 faculty members in the four priority geographies identified in 黑料吃瓜资源 Global Engagement Strategic Plan. It also supports faculty and post-doctoral fellows displaced by war, conflict, and political instability.

Principal鈥檚 Global Fellows Fund

The Fund provided funding for 黑料吃瓜资源 faculty members and their counterparts in the four priority regions identified in the 黑料吃瓜资源 Global Engagement Strategic Plan (Africa, the Middle East, Latin America and the Caribbean, South Asia, and Southeast Asia) to collaborate for the purposes of advancing an academic, research, student learning, or scholarly initiative. 

 

Scholars at Risk 

黑料吃瓜资源 provides support for displaced faculty members that are identified through our affiliations with partner organizations: , the and , among other international and national organizations. We encourage interested scholars to connect with these networks and explore their formal application processes for placement support. 

Funds raised will expand the program beyond 黑料吃瓜资源 initial $1.25 million commitment
