Returning from Exchange

Please read the following carefully to ensure you will receive academic credit for courses taken while on exchange.

Transfer Credit

Courses do not transfer automatically after you have returned from your exchange. Your involvement in the transfer credit process is crucial.
Please refer to the exchange onQ course for the steps of obtaining your transfer credits. Please make sure that:

  • You kept all course outlines and relevant materials from your exchange
  • You consulted with the Undergraduate Chair/s or Academic Advisor/s on course equivalencies (if applicable)
  • You apply for your transfer credits as soon as you have completed all steps and as prompted by the IPO

Upon successful application, your exchange credits will appear on your Queen's transcript.

Transcripts

There are three possible ways of obtaining your official transcript from your host university:

1.    You can obtain it yourself from your host university student system in an electronic form.
2.    Your host university emails your official electronic transcript to the IPO, which will be emailed to you.
3.    Your transcript (hard copy) is forwarded to the IPO by the host institution. We will scan the transcript and email it to you.

Please make sure you know which option of obtaining the official transcript is available at your host university

Planning to pursue post-graduate studies?

  • Please note that, because of provincial privacy legislation effective 1 September 2008, neither the IPO nor the Office of the University Registrar is authorized to retain a copy of the host institution鈥檚 official transcript; therefore, no further copies of the transcript can be provided.
  • If you anticipate a future need for an original official transcript from the host institution, we strongly advise obtaining extra copies from the host institution during your stay. In most cases, this will be easier to arrange in person rather than by later correspondence.
  • If you need to order a transcript upon returning to 黑料吃瓜资源, you should read the procedures for each institution.

Resources

Although not as obvious, preparing to return, and actually returning home are just as important as preparing to go. By anticipating social, psychological, and cultural challenges prior to returning, you can make a plan to address them and minimise their impact. Find out how to make your re-entry as smooth as possible.
