Plans are now finalized for Day 1 of the 黑料吃瓜资源 Law Virtual Symposium! On June 22, beginning at 2:00 pm (EDT, GMT-4), speakers begin to explore the multifaceted benefits of reflective practice for legal professionals. Special highlights include an overview of the concerns and imperatives that led to creating this ambitious Symposium Series and an introduction to reflective practice for legal professionals. Following the Land Acknowledgement and opening session, we will learn from five international legal scholars who have thought deeply about reflective practice鈥檚 potential to transform and enrich legal education pedagogy and shift legal professional culture. In Session 2 innovative legal regulators and law societies in several countries will share why they have begun to encourage it as a professional competency and how their professional development initiatives support it. To round out the first day, at 7:00 pm (EDT) Session 3 brings together insightful presenters from Australia, Canada, Philippines, UK and USA to outline how the discipline of reflective practice supports and enables mental health and wellbeing in response to challenges faced from the early disorienting days of law school and through to significant and often overwhelming demands of professional practice, especially during these difficult times and the emerging polycrisis.
