Art Conservation program founder appointed to the Order of Canada

Ian Hodkinson, founder of Queen's University's Art Conservation program, has been . Alongside Queen's alumna Moira Hutchinson (Arts'64, M.A.'68) and Queen's supporter R. Jamie Anderson, Hodkinson was appointed as an Officer of the Order of Canada in recognition of "his pioneering and extensive contributions to the preservation and conservation of Canada's cultural heritage."

AGO gifts study collection to Art Conservation

The Art Gallery of Ontario has donated a fascinating triptych to the Art Conservation Study Collection. Conserved in the 1930s by George Stout, a key figure in the history of Art Conservation, Lamentation with Saints and Donors has arrived at ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´ with detailed documentation showing a history of investigation into this somewhat bewildering object.
