On August 25, 2023, a hybrid conference titled "50-Year Relationship of Vietnam and Canada: Look Back and Forward" marked the commemoration of five decades of bilateral ties between Vietnam and Canada. The Vietnam Institute of American Studies (VIAS), a division of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, hosted the event in Vietnam.
On Thursday, August 3, 2023, we received news of the escalating tensions within the Amhara region. We write to express our utmost concern and care for the Ethiopian students in our ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´ community, our colleagues at the University of Gondar, Ethiopian Queen's alumni and all others in the Amhara region, who are facing the impact of this developing conflict.
On a recent June visit to Egypt, our Vice-Provost, Global Engagement signed a new exchange agreement with . This five year agreement will see Queen's students in the Faculties of Arts and Science, Smith School of Business, and Law go on exchange in Egypt.
The Queen's Indigenous Rocket Team emerged victorious at the First Nations Launch competition in the USA, the first time a Canada-based team received more points than every other team at the competition! The Vice-Provost, Global Engagement, Dr. Sandra den Otter, sends her congratulations on this remarkable result.

Staff and faculty from across campus recently gathered for ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´ Global Connect, an event organized to bring together those who identify as international and newcomers to Canada to build and strengthen community bonds, and further nurture an inclusive, globally-minded campus environment.

2023 marks thirty years since Herstmonceux Castle Estate was gifted to ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´ university by its benefactors, the late Drs. Alfred and Isabel Bader. As we mark this milestone in Queen's history, Bader College is proud to introduce their new Strategic Plan 2023-2028.
