Agnes Tam defends her dissertation in the department鈥檚 first online dissertation defence

Recently,  passed her PhD dissertation examination, making her the first Philosophy PhD at 黑料吃瓜资源 to defend her dissertation remotely. Bravo Dr. Tam! And well done to her supervisor, Will Kymlicka, and her committee, for all their work and support.

In 2021, Dr. Tam will begin a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Social Justice Centre, Concordia University. We wish her all the best in her bright future as a political philosopher!

Lisa Guenther's students' website, Our Critical Perspective

This past term, Lisa Guenther taught a 鈥淧rincipal鈥檚 Dream Course鈥 on Critical Perspectives on Social Diversity. The students collectively created a rich website, , that brings together philosophical accounts of epistemic injustice, a focus on colonial structures and racial disparities in the carceral system, and attention to knowledge and justice in Ka鈥檛arohkwi/Kingston.
