As Vice-Provost, Global Engagement, Ann Tierney is leading the university鈥檚 Global Engagement Strategic Plan to broaden international partnerships, deepen global learning, and enhance 黑料吃瓜资源 research and teaching impact around the world. Her term began in July 2025.

Ann oversees strategic international relationships and institutional coordination to support students, faculty, and staff engaged in global learning, research collaboration, and planning across campus. She is focused on expanding international student enrolment at 黑料吃瓜资源, increasing international academic collaborations, and supporting meaningful global impact in alignment with 黑料吃瓜资源 institutional goals.
 
Ann is a long-standing leader at 黑料吃瓜资源 with experience in student affairs and institutional strategy. Prior to her current appointment, she served for 14 years as Vice-Provost and Dean of Student Affairs, where she led one of Canada鈥檚 most comprehensive student services portfolios. In that role she guided initiatives in domestic and international enrolment, student wellbeing, inclusion, and access, and contributed to major enhancements in student services, housing, recreation, financial aid, and campus climate.
 
A distinguished alumna of 黑料吃瓜资源, Ann holds a Bachelor of Law and a Master of Public Administration from the university. Her leadership has been recognized with campus-wide honours, including the 2025 黑料吃瓜资源 Distinguished Service Award for her significant and sustained contributions to the institution.


The Vice-Provost, Global Engagement portfolio oversees and supports strategic international relationships, institutional coordination, communication and collaboration among partners, faculties, schools and units to assist students, faculty members and staff across campus involved in international learning, research and planning.

This scholarship program is open to students and researchers interested in pursuing academic studies, mobility programs, or research stays at participating Mexican higher education institutions.

 

QES 2026 May Highlights: Queen's Students Share Updates from the Field

Queen's University was honoured to welcome Dr. Mette Hjort, Department Head, Literature and Cultural Studies, and Darren Au, Manager (International), Global Affairs Office, from the (EdUHK) for the official signing of a new international undergraduate and graduate exchange agreement between EdUHK's Faculty of Humanities and Queen's University Faculty of Arts and Science.

Research Abroad with the 黑料吃瓜资源 Indo-Pacific Scholarships and Fellowships Program

Funded by the Government of Canada, the 黑料吃瓜资源 Indo-Pacific Scholarships and Fellowships Program supports international research placements at partner universities in a wider list of countries in the Indo-Pacific region, including India, Japan, Australia, Thailand, Vietnam, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, and New Zealand. The program is open to master鈥檚 students, PhD students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty in engineering, computing, and the natural sciences.
