ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´ and United Steel Workers (USW) Local 2010, representing general staff in Grades 2-9, exchanged collective bargaining proposals on March 22, 2022.

The Collective Agreement between ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´ and USW Local 2010 expired on December 31, 2021.

To date, the Parties have had seven bargaining dates and are scheduled to meet again on June 21 & 22, 2022 to continue negotiations with the assistance of a government appointed Conciliation Officer.    

The University and the United Steelworkers (USW) Local 2010 reached a tentative agreement to renew their collective agreement early in the morning on June 23, 2022. The tentative collective agreement is subject to ratification by both the university and the bargaining unit.

The University and USW Local 2010 have been actively engaged in negotiations to renew their collective agreement since March 2022. Details of the tentative collective agreement will remain confidential until both parties ratify the agreement.
