The University is pleased to announce that the renewal collective agreement between ���ϳԹ���Դ and the ���ϳԹ���Դ Faculty Association (QUFA) has been ratified by members of the bargaining unit and the University.  

The renewed collective agreement has a three-year term, effective July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2029.  

QUFA is the certified bargaining agent for approximately 1,600 faculty members, librarians, and archivists at ���ϳԹ���Դ. Representatives of the University and QUFA began bargaining in May 2026.    

���ϳԹ���Դ and the ���ϳԹ���Դ Faculty Association (QUFA) have reached a tentative agreement to renew the collective agreement for approximately 1,600 faculty members, librarians, and archivists. The agreement is subject to ratification by both parties.

Details will remain confidential pending ratification.

The previous collective agreement expired on June 30, 2026. The university received notice to bargain from QUFA on April 23, and representatives of the university and QUFA have engaged in professional and constructive collective bargaining since May.

���ϳԹ���Դ has been advised that the ���ϳԹ���Դ Faculty Association (QUFA) has authorized a strike vote for their members ahead of further conciliation meetings. Both Conciliation and a strike vote are common occurrences in the collective bargaining process.

Representatives of the university and QUFA have been actively engaged in collective bargaining since May.

���ϳԹ���Դ and the ���ϳԹ���Դ Faculty Association (QUFA) have initiated bargaining to renew their collective agreement.

Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU) and its Local 452 have advised ���ϳԹ���Դ that on Thursday, April 16, they applied to the Ministry of Labour requesting the appointment of a conciliation officer to confer with the parties.

The two sides have been bargaining since January of this year. The current agreement expired June 30, 2025.

���ϳԹ���Դ and the Ontario Nurses’ Association (ONA) Local 67 have successfully ratified a renewed Collective Agreement. The new four-year agreement was ratified by the University on February 18, 2026, is effective April 1, 2025, and will expire on March 31, 2029.

An agreement between ���ϳԹ���Դ and the United Steelworkers (USW) and its Local 2010, Unit 01 (Academic Assistants) to renew their Collective Agreement has been ratified by members of the bargaining unit and the University’s Board of Trustees. The renewed collective agreement is effective through August 31, 2027.

���ϳԹ���Դ is pleased to announce that an agreement between the University and the ���ϳԹ���Դ Faculty Association (QUFA) to renew their collective agreement has now been ratified by members of the bargaining unit and the University’s Board of Trustees. The renewed collective agreement has a one-year term ending June 30, 2026.  

QUFA is the certified bargaining agent for approximately 1,500 faculty members, librarians and archivists at ���ϳԹ���Դ.
